An important part of being a scout is to Do A Good Turn Daily. For Scouting for Food, scouts can contact friends, neighbors and relatives to donate food items and/or they can hang the yellow door hangars around the neighborhood and collect items as stated on the hangars. The hangers should be be hung this weekend (Saturday 2/28 & Sunday 3/1) and the items need to be collected on 3/7 and brought to the FISH Food Pantry at the address below. Last year our pack collected over 300 items!!! Our McHenry/Johnsburg area collected over 1200!!! Lets see what we can do to help those in need! All participants will receive a special Scouting For Food Patch!
Drop off is between 11am-1pm on Saturday 3/7/15
The March 2015 Pack meeting is a very special one for our 5th grade Webelos! Please join us as the boys cross the bridge from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts and they join their Troop. Meet the leaders and scouts from Troops 131 and 149 who will be present to take the boys onto their next adventure! After the crossover the scouts get to play dodgeball and tear it up in the gym. The fun begins at 7:00PM on Friday, March 13, 2015 in the gym at Hilltop Elementary.
Pack 311 will be having a "Night at the Museum" experience when they attend the Dozin' with the Dinos at the Field Museum on March 6th, 2015. Enjoy a rare opportunity to visit the Museum after dark as the lights dim and you explore the rituals of ancient Egyptian culture, guided by the light of your flashlight. Next, you prowl an African savannah with giraffes, hippos, and man-eating lions. Take a break by playing games from around the world or touching giant bugs from right in your backyard. Cap your night of exploration and adventure with cozy bedtime stories, before drifting off to dreamland in one of our amazing exhibits.
